1. Shall we start by explaining what is Creations & Creamy Café?
Yes, Creamy Creations & Creamy Café is a cafeteria business located in Jaffna. In our café we make and sell all type of cakes, short eats, various types of hot and cold drinks. There is a good demand for our icing cake in Jaffna. Our cocktails and mojitos are very famous too. Most of our customers love our short eats like fish cutlets, chicken rolls, and pastries.

2. How did your business start?
It’s not a coincidence. I’ve been making icing cake at home for about 7 years. It was in 2019 that me and my husband started production and distribution of icing cake in a large scale. Later we opened our café at Jaffna town as Creamy Creations & Creamy Café.

3. How does your business stand out from other similar businesses?
We provide only high-quality products for our customers. Satisfying our customers is our main priority. Therefore, we believe that it makes us special.

4. There must be challenges that you had to face during this journey?
Absolutely, we too had to face many challenges like any other entrepreneur. Initially the market competition was a huge challenge. We had to face price hikes and lows due the economic crisis in the country. We keep fighting these challenges methodically and move forward successfully.

5. Let us hear about the future you dream for your business.
My dream is to increase number of branches we have along with new concepts. Frankly I want to open 03 cafeterias in north province by the year 2025.

6. How about the support you get from commercial bank for your business?
We started our business with a very small investment. It wasn’t sufficient to maintain the business well. At that time Commercial Bank reached us and provided a loan for a low interest rate to buy required machinery. They were the first bank to give us a helping hand. For that I would like to give my thanks for them.

7. What is your advice for new entrepreneurs?
Love your business. Believe in yourself and always choose the right path. Then the success will follow you.
