Our business started in 2005. If we talk about the business Janidu Pharmaceuticals (Pvt) Ltd, it is a business that mainly distributes medicines. We are the sole distributors of pharmaceutical supplies to major companies in the country such as Emerchemie NB (Ceylon) Limited, Alaris Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, Sunshine Healthcare Lanka Ltd and State Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing Corporation (SPMC). Our distribution network operates in North Western and North Central Provinces. Apart from that, we also run a pharmacy in Kurunegala Uyandana area.

2. How does your business differ from other competing businesses?

We are a customer-oriented organization, and our policy decisions are always based on customer needs. And that is the main reason for our massive client network of over 500+ pharmacies as we protect the trust placed by our customer.

3. What challenges have you faced in this journey and are you facing any recently?

In recent times, with the rapid increase in foreign exchange rates, the price of pharmaceuticals has become a challenge for us. Also, due to the dollar crisis in the country, we must import medicines with limited operating options, and the shortage of many medicines is affecting us a lot.

4.  Let's talk about your future business dream, shall we?

We are curently the 3rd largest pharmaceutical distributor in the country and our future business dream is to import pharmaceuticals into the country. For that, we are preparing the relevant activities and intend to start implementing them in the future.

Commercial Bank is a bank that we can rely on at any time to sustain our financial needs. And Commercial Bank is the only bank we deal with.

6. What advice do you have for aspiring entrepreneurs?

The advice i always give to new entrepreneurs is to acquire knowledge about the business they are engaged in from beginning to end. Also, dedication is essential, and your dedication will help you overcome any difficult situation.
