1. Shall we tell everyone about Amiron Organic? What type of a business is it? How did it start?
Yes, Amiron Farm is a family business specialized for organic chicken and eggs. Our chicken farm is located on a 24-acre field situated in Kumburumoolai, a village near the town of Valechenai in the Eastern Province, which has been in our family for over 100 years. We recently expanded our business as Amiron Organic in order to bring our products to the market.

2. Is there something that you consider the heart of your business?
Absolutely! We have a motto that all of us treat as the heart of our business, which is “Eat Healthy. Live Long.” We are always committed to providing a healthy and nutritious life to our customers.

3. What makes your business stand out from your competitors?
As I mentioned before, our motto is the heart of the business and our specialty too. Because of that reason, none of our products contain hormones or growth promoters. We only use natural antibiotics, and our products are certified as organic products.

4. There must have been challenges you faced through your journey?
Yes, we did have to face a lot of challenges. The biggest challenge was creating brand recognition among Sri Lankan people. It was also a challenge to transport our products without compromising the high quality of them and finding the raw materials required for the livestock; however, we have reached this point overcoming those challenges. I would like to mention a few leading companies that are with us today such as Good Market, Keells, Cargills, Arpico, Spar, Kenko1st, Premium Choice, Gusta Restaurant, and Hilton.

5. Shall we mention the dream you see with Amiron Organic
My dream is to provide organic products that do not contain hormones or growth promoters for a reasonable price to our people in Sri Lanka and make Amiron Organic a globally recognized name and a leading company in the organic agriculture industry.

7. As a successful entrepreneur, what advice do you have for future entrepreneurs?
I would like to tell them to keep trying new things and to never stop learning. Things you learn will be useful to you in the future unexpectedly. Also, choose an industry that you enjoy, then use every opportunity for the progress of your business and to enhance your talents. Always keep in mind that time is very valuable, make the best out of it.
